We specialise in Business finance and Low-Doc loans for self employed people. We have access to over 120 banks and Lenders to cater for all types of finance requirements, such as:

Business owners traditionally have a problem qualifying for finance based on “poor” financials, business structural changes, short time in business or a downturn in business income/profits. Many banks just don’t understand that this is“normal” for most businesses!

The key is to match the business with the Bank/Lender who’s policies allow for such “discrepancies”. If the SME is still outside most lenders guidelines, then we give advice and prepare a road map on how to move forward to get into a position where financing is achievable.

Profile - Philip Rice

Many people think Phil is crazy for being in Finance for over 25 years but he loves

the finance Industry, loves structuring finance for clients and loves seeing the

difference it makes to people’s lives when they get the money to progress their

dreams. Who was it that said “if you love what you do, you’ll never work a day in

your life” – that’s Phil!

With qualifications such as a Diploma in Finance, Certificate 4 in Finance,

Certificates 1& 2 in Business Law, Accounting and communications, Holder of an

Australian Credit Licence, Certified Professional Business Advisor (CPBA), and a

member of the FBAA and AFCA, -Phil is really invested in his career and in helping

small business.

Phil started his finance career in Adelaide in 1996, as a Finance rep for a large

brokerage firm. After two years, he migrated into a major bank as a senior Lending

manager (Business Development) and was there for seven years. With an itch to try

his hand at something a little different, he left the bank to design and implement a

new finance arm for a major real estate firm with over 465 offices around Australia.

Phil moved to Brisbane to roll-out the new finance arm for the Real Estate

Company. This was successfully rolled out around Australia, linking “in-house”

finance brokers to real estate offices around Australia. At the end of the three year

contract, Phil left the Real Estate organisation and opened his own company, EZ

Finance.

EZFinance was designed to be very “Finance Specific”, not diversifying into

insurance or financial planning like many other finance businesses; just finance

such as Commercial Finance, Asset & Car finance, Home Loans, Lo-Doc loans for

self-employed, personal loans and so on. In 2019, EZ Finance Commercial Pty Ltd

opened, splitting the business in half to separate consumer and business clients.

Phil has earned the trust of over 130 different banks and funders around Australia,

that he is in constant communication with, which is KEY when finding finance

solutions for clients that no one else can help.

From 2019 forward, new strategies were put in place to better serve the business

community, whereby Phil undertook a certified course with the Institute of Business

Advisors to not only guide and mentor staff, but also to better understand the

business community, allowing for better structured finance options and solutions.

Phil has a well-rounded business history, whereby before finance, he worked his

way up to assistant Manager in a large retail food chain, bought one of the largest

Tandy Electronics electrical retail franchise’s in Adelaide and had a “Side–Hustle as a

“DJ” for over 30 years. He knows small business!
